Sotto Voce

I have always been drawn to remote spaces in forests and swamps, especially near the coast. In the solitude, listening can be done with the eyes, attuning to the voices of the trees, the rhythm of the shadows and the resonance of the reflections. Light filters through as though accompanying this chorale of living, breathing beings. These images are inspired by this subtle harmony that elicits a sense of presence, an awareness of both the here and now and of the potential of unconfined life.
